Insidesoap.net was created in August 2006 in a bid to allow soap lovers to keep in touch and up to date with all the official latest news and gossip.

Content and images for the site are provided by the official soap channels, BBC, ITV, C4, C5 and The Press Association (PA).

The site covers current and future plots in UK based soap operas. It traditionally provides interviews from actors/actresses who play characters in the soaps and outlines current storylines. Soaps included in its content are Eastenders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks Neighbours, Big Brother, The Bill, Home and Away, Doctors and many more tv programmes.

Each year the Inside Soap Awards ceremony is held to congratulate and reward certain soap actors/actresses for their contribution to soap that year.
