[edit] NPOV?

Although I have also heard the rumour that Eriksson is a member of the Swedish Social Democratic Party, I have yet to see any proof of this being true.

The Swedish article does mention that Eriksson was at one time Head of Budget at the Swedish Ministry of Finance, but it does not specify whether this was during a Social Democratic government or not. Furthermore, generally the only political appointments to the Government offices are those of Minister and Secretary of State, while positions such as Head of Department or Councillor for University Affairs are held by civil servants.

There are no traces of Eriksson being elected (or even standing for election) to public office, which also would mean that the notion of Eriksson being a politician is non-NPOV.

In my opinion, the article should either reflect that Björn Eriksson has had a splendid career as a civil servant, or find some proof of his membership in the SAP as well as his political aspirations/actions. OJH 14:37, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
