Scottish Oils Ltd is a wholesaler of petroleum products based in Fort William, Scotland. The company has a long history and was formerly a producer of shale oil. It was formed between 1918 and 1920 by the merger of several smaller shale oil companies. The majority shareholder in Scottish Oils was the Anglo-Persian Oil Company which later became BP. Production of shale oil in Scotland ceased in 1960.

In 1912, seven shale oil companies survived in Scotland. These were Youngs, Broxburn, Pumpherston, Oakbank, Dalmeny, Philpstoun and Tarbrax. By 1920, Youngs, Broxburn, Pumpherston, Oakbank and Philpstoun had merged to form Scottish Oils [1].
