Regarding your image at http://eee.uci.edu/programs/rgarfias/photos/scanner-comparison/scanner-comparison.html Greetings. It is indeed my photograph, from 1964. I should indicate that on the Wikipedia page. You are free to use it if you need it. Please let me know where and what you do with it, only out of curiosity. Robert Garfias Anthropology UCI
This was my mail:
Hi! I saw an image of late Bismillah Khan at one of your web-pages: http://eee.uci.edu/programs/rgarfias/photos/scanner-comparison/scanner-comparison.html The image is http://eee.uci.edu/programs/rgarfias/photos/scanner-comparison/india-003.jpg The same image has been uploaded to Wikipedia under "public domain" license. Could you please redirect me to the original creator of the image? The image has been uploaded as if the creator has uploaded the image. If you are not the creator, and if you know that the image is under any copyright, then the one uploaded at Wikipedia will be deleted due to copyright violations. Please help me by providing the source of the image. There are almost no free pictures of Shehnai maestro Bismillah Khan. Thanks for taking your precious time in reading this mail. Eagerly waiting for your reply. Thanks
After this image, atleast the deletion tag can be safely removed. Regarding the licensing, I think Robert Garfias will himself clarify in the coming time.--Scheibenzahl 15:52, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
