From the binding of a pontifical (book of ceremonies performed by a bishop) of the cathedral of Beauvais, France. Cetacean ivory, polychromic inlays and gilt traces. Français : Hervé et Roger, deux évêques de Beauvais, respectivement du Xe et du XIe siècle. Provient de la reliure d'un pontifical (recueil des cérémonies incombant à l'évêque) de la cathédrale de Beauvais, France. Ivoire de cétacé, incrustations polychromes et traces de dorure.
