Bishop Moore Vidyapith, Mavelikkara, Kerala, is a Church of South India school, and a public schools in India. It is affiliated with the ICSE board of education. It was established in 1975 in name of Bishop Rt. Rev Edward Alfred Livingstone Moore.

The current principal is A C George; past principals have included the educators Prof.George M Cherian, Mr K.V Abraham etc.

The school, with its adjoining chappel, is known in south India for the extracurricular merit shown by its students.[citation needed] At present the school is equipped with a basketball court, Sunil Gavasker Stadium, computer lab and three science labs.

The school motto is "The Truth Shall Make You Free".

The students are divided into four houses, each named after four precious stones. They are Ruby (red), Emerald (green) and Sapphire (blue),Topaz (yellow). Competition between the houses takes place in the form of inter-house activities like sports, athletics,and Youth Festival. Meritorious houses are awarded house points and at end of year a house cup is awarded to the best House on basis of points earned.

Non-competition activities take place in the form of various clubs like drama, space, nature, quiz, and various other clubs, each hosting a number of public events throughout the year.The annual interschool quiz organised by the quiz club.The students call themselves Bishop Moorians, as does the annual school magazine,The Vidyapith.

1983-1993 era: Principal: Mr K V Abraham Vice Principal: John Sir The school was the only ICSE school in Mavelikara and an admission there was most coveted. The nursery section had amazing class teachers like like Susan miss, Angeline miss, Zona miss and Lizy Miss . Class 2 has Annie miss and Mrs Mohana Ravi. Class 3 had Mrs Mary Varghese and Mrs Elizabeth John, Class 4 had Mrs Valsala Thomas and Geetha miss Class 5 had Susan miss and Marykutty miss, Class 6 had Mr Issac Itty,Class 7 had Molly Miss Class 8 had K C John Sir, Class 9 had Mrs Elizebeth Joy and finally Class 10 , Mrs Esmie Fernandez. Kurien Sir( Physics) was a phenomenon by himself and so was Mathew John (Hindi Sir). Annamma Miss and Aelyamma miss taught elementary to primary Malayalam .Mrs Mary Abraham taught high school Geography and Biology but Chemistry miss had amazing teaching style Throughout Mr Tedddy Wiliams( Music) Mr Saji ( Art) and Mrs Geetha Williams and the ever changing list of PT instructors provided a passion for extracurricular activities.

Apart from regular academics , there were time slots extracurriculars as well as for scripture classes. None the less the most awaited hour of the week is last hour of Friday, where students flaunt their talent in singing, dramatics, mimicry etc within the classroom confines.

The campus is usually vibrant in June July, with copius bougainvilla blooms and the fiery red Gulmohar trees as if they welcomed wards to a new academic year. Time and again one would encouter boards which read "Please converse in English" as an expected behaviour.The Punja or Gavaskar staduim was innaguated by none other than the Little master in early 80s

Morning Assemblies, Student speeches ( articles ripped straight out of CSR magazine),morning hymns and the daily passage read from the Bible, Bullying by Prefects, getting caught on wearing chappals, poor fund collections and the regular National anthem ( with pledge forming part of the routine on every Fridays)
