Birgosław Żniemeszczensky (born 1921 in Gdansk, Poland, died 2005 in Warsaw) was a poet. He wrote in Polish, Latvian and French - famous for his Science fiction poem Machine of Influence (1938) predicting the horrors of WWII in a tremendous space travel idea. He is also known in some countries for the novel Uwaga: Droga czlowa written in polish but originally published in Latvian 1993 in Riga.
