Birds (Elton John song)

Birds is a song by Elton John with lyrics by Bernie Taupin. It is the sixth track on the album Songs from the West Coast. The song itself is lyrically beautiful and a typical Taupin-song due to the many metaphors. Musically, it's very influenced by blues and country. After the first two verses, the drum beat kicks in, which in itself has an R&B sound.
