Birampur is located at 25.3778° N 88.9833° E . It has 25770 units of house hold and total area 211.81 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Birampur has a population of 134778. Males constitute are 51.12% of the population, and females 48.88%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 68878. Birampur has an average literacy rate of 29.8% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
