As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Birampur has a population of 134778. Males constitute are 51.12% of the population, and females 48.88%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 68878. Birampur has an average literacy rate of 29.8% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
