Biramitrapur is a city and a municipality in Sundargarh district in the state of Orissa, India.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Biramitrapur had a population of 29,434. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Biramitrapur has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 71% and female literacy of 55%. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
