Binational Science Foundation

The Binational Science Foundation (BSF) is a foundation which awards grants for collaborative research projects with American and Israeli scientists. It was established in 1972. The BSF's income is derived from interest on an endowment of $100 million. The governments of the United States and Israel each contributed 30 million dollars to the BSF in 1972 and 20 million dollars in 1984.
