Billy Zero was born in Fort Meade, Maryland in 1971. He was fascinated by radio and music by the age of 7. Billy began playing various instruments at age 15, beginning with drums. Billy Zero worked at the Legendary WHFS, 99.1 FM from December of 1994 - February, 2000 Billy went to work for Advertising.com in February, 2000. 4 months later he left to work on his own. Billy then started his own company - djboy.com and getbackstage.com. Billy was called by a headhunter in July of 2000 and informed that XM Satellite Radio is hiring. Billy started out as Director of Ad Sales Development, then moved to Music Director of the Unsigned Channel. Billy was made the Program Director of Unsigned when Pat Dinizio of the Smithereens left to go back to his Music Career. Unsigned was cancelled from XM's Lineup in November of 2005. Billy then went to work on Fred, XM 44 for 3 months to help out. Billy then went to work on Big Tracks, A new channel that XM Launched and he helped build the channel. Billy then went to work on XMU as Program Director where he currently listens to music and plays music every day on XM 43. In February, 2006 billy became partner in a new design studio called Airtype Studio
