Billy Meredith is listed in the article as being the oldest player to play in the F A cup. I removed this statement as it is not correct. Neil McBain was 50 when he lined up for New Brighton in the cup and there may well have been others who have played in the competition when older than 49.

I corrected this error and added a few footnotes to support the "superstar claim. I also added the link to the hall of fame. There are still lots of details that might be added, and no doubt in November, when the Hall of Fame officially announces the inductees, there will be one or two stories in the press that might give a few extra bits of information that might be added.
