I believe he had a quite distinguished war service.

He also had a daughter who died young which had a profound effect on him. He has an interesting personal history if anyone can help fill it in. Epeeist smudge 12:17, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Two of the sentences in this article (out of a small number) are copied word for word from the very BBC website that this article links to. This needs to be fixed.

Am I wrong, or Bill McLaren has been the commentator of the 1997 rugby video game "Jonah Lomu Rugby", with Bill Beaumont?
