[edit] Cleanup
There are a fair deal of grammatical flaws and some mediocre writing throughout this article. I've done some work correcting things here and there but it might need a more serious overhaul in the near future.
I did one go-through of editing. Can still use more. Questors 04:08, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
I corrected the circumstances of his son's death and added some dates, but this article still needs work. A Runyon 00:12, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
This article is about as clear as mud in some parts. I'm having a go at it but being British there are some parts that mean nothing to me, (Pally01 13:03, 6 June 2006 (UTC))
- I'm tracking changes made by User:Gcollinsii aka User:Gcollinsii@aol.com. This article was perfectly fine, if a bit stubby, before he came into it, and this appears to be a pattern with every article he touches. Is there some way he can be stopped? I just got done salvaging the Kojak article, and after perusing the history I've become convinced that it might have been better to simply revert all of his edits. --Canonblack 11:12, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've taken a bash at this. Someone else's turn. --Canonblack 21:21, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
I have also tried to clean up part of this article but User:Gcollinsii added back the same poorly written mess that I had deleted, so I've asked him to clean up the paragraph in question to make it more readable. He had also added a bunch of garbage to the Michele Lee article, which I deleted. He has not tried to add that back as of yet.Dbart 14:44, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Paul Williams
I was cleaning up links going to the disambiguation page Paul Williams, but couldn't tell which of the many Paul Williamses on that page attended Bill Bixby's funeral. Paul Williams (songwriter) seems the most likely, but I wasn't sure; if any regular editor of this page knows, please correct the link. Thanks. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 23:55, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
I would go with Paul Williams (songwriter). Apparently this Paul Williams contributed to an episode on "The E! True Hollywood Story"about Bill Bixby in 1999. I found this information at the "venerable" Internet Movie Database: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0358392/. Looking over the list of Paul Williamses and looking at who the other attendees were at the funeral service, Paul Williams the songwriter is best choice. Ladydayelle 14:47, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Lee Merriwether
Lee Meriwether is mentioned as being a winner of the Miss Universe pagent. She was actually a winner of the Miss America pagent.
- I corrected this error. Ladydayelle 18:10, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Changes
I removed the following from the article:
"Unlike Lucille Ball's sitcoms and Michael Landon's TV series, Bixby's three shows (between comedy and drama) were lesser seasons than Ball's and Landon's, of his almost twenty year career."
"The show was a ratings winner in its first year, earning tenth place among all primetime shows." < no citation.
"By its final season, Courtship's ratings had slumped, the scripts focused more on Komack's as well as Bixby's character and this led to friction between star and producer." < it makes no sense, plus there is no citation.
I am willing to put the last two sentences back in the article if anybody here is able to give me a solid reference. Carson S 23:15, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
maybe a {{Fact}} tag would have been cool. im not a

He was also the host of a history show that appeared on Nickelodeon. MMetro 09:20, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
- He also had an awesome (posthumous) cameo appearance on Fairly Oddparents. We're Pixies, we're Pixies, we're strong like BILL BIXBY —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.190.154.46 (talk) 20:24, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
