Bill Pointon

Bill Pointon (born 1920 in Hanley, Staffordshire, England) was a professional footballer who played centre-forward for:
- Port Vale: Joined as a war-time player, 7 January 1940 – 74 appearances, 26 goals 1946–48 (3rd Division South)
- Queens Park Rangers: Joined 1 January 1949 – 26 appearances, 6 goals (Division Two)
- Brentford: Joined 2 January 1950 – 16 appearances, 2 goals (Division Two)
In retirement he took charge of the Portsmouth Football Club "A" side.[1]
