Bill Pentland

Bill Pentland was the first husband of comedian, actress and writer Roseanne Barr. He meet Roseanne after she dropped out of school and was living on a commune in Colorado. [1]
They married on February 4th 1974 and were divorced on January 16th 1990, after she fell in love with actor Tom Arnold. The marriage produced three children: Jennifer, Jessica and Jacob. Roseanne spoke about the end of the marriage, "The holes in our marriage just kept growing bigger. When I finally accepted I was doing nothing but plugging holes, the marriage was over." [2] Roseanne married Arnold four days after the divorce from Pentland. Pentland later remarried as well.
Pentland was billed as executive consultant on the first season of the "Roseanne (TV series)" and also has guest bit parts on several early Roseanne comedy specials and the TV series.
In 2003, Pentland appeared as an assistant and handyman for Roseanne on her short-lived reality series The Real Roseanne Show, which was about the attempted launch of her new cooking program called Domestic Goddess. His wife Becky was an assistant to Barr on the show as well. [3].
