Bill Gravell

Pastor Bill Gravell grew up outside of Austin, Texas. As a teenager, he began to sense emptiness in his heart and life. After trying almost everything that this world has to offer, he still did not have peace or contentment. At the age of fifteen he met a youth minister named David. After spending a lot of time with David, it became clear that he had what Bill had been searching for --a personal relationship with Christ. On December 19, 1979, Bill invited Christ to fill the void in his life.
Bill became active in the local church with a passion to reach out to his unsaved friends. By age seventeen, it was clear that the Lord was calling Bill to ministry. While attending college, Bill begin to serve as a youth pastor in a local church. For the first thirteen years of Pastor Bill’s ministry he served as a youth pastor in local churches. The last seven years Pastor Bill has been on a world wide mission to share Christ. In the last seven years, Pastor Bill has spoken in 46 states and 5 different counties specializing in youth evagelism teaching. He has spoken cumulatively in front of more than a million people. Pastor Bill has a world wide ministry with a passion for the local church. Pastor Bill has spoken before 40,000 people but would rather speak in the local church. Bill also has a heart for teenagers, maybe because he is the father of two teens! Bill is an ordained Pastor, with credentials at the state and national level.
On January 5, 1985, Pastor Bill and Jill Gravell were married. Pastor Bill and Jill are the proud parents of Camy Lenn (1986) and Josh William (1988). They happily reside in Jarrell, Texas.
Pastor Bill has a [B.A] in Theology from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Tx. One of his greatest accomplishments he's most proud of when de relocated his family to the Dominican Republic where they served as missionaries. During that time he was in charge of planting a new church and in one year they had an attendance of about 100 people and an ESL class that meets every week with about 25 adults. They also started a school that has 42 kids enrolled. For Pastor Bill, it was truly an awesome experience. God's next great step for Pastor Bill is being Lead Pastor of Sonterra Fellowship. Pastor Bill is currently the lead pastor for Sonterra Fellowship Church in Jarrell, TX.
Sonterra Fellowship was founded on Sunday, April the 23rd of 2006. Sonterra Fellowship is the daughter church of Crestview Church and New Church in Georgetown, Texas. It is a part of the Williamson Association. Their greatest pride in the fact that their first check written was for Missions. In the early days, Sonterra Fellowship sponsored a new Spanish speaking Church in Jarrell, Texas.
As of May 2007, they own a 12.5 acre piece of land in Jarrell and are excited to see what God will have them do with this land in the near future.
