[edit] AfD for Stephen Colbert (character)

Hello. For your information, the article Stephen Colbert (character) has survived three AfD nominations. The character is sufficiently distinct from the real life Colbert, with a fictional history, beliefs, etc. With Colbert's recent run for President, there are also sufficient real world sources. The article passes WP:FICT and is thus a valid article. mattbuck 10:45, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Command & Conquer Factions

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Command & Conquer Factions, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] AfD nomination of Command & Conquer Factions

An editor has nominated Command & Conquer Factions, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Command & Conquer Factions and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 23:14, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:John Edwards logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:John Edwards logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 00:48, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:John Edwards logo.jpg missing description details

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:John Edwards logo.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers. If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. [edit] Wisconsin Republican Caucus Results Map

I don't think the map you made for this article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Washington_Republican_Caucuses_Results.jpg) is very clear; it has several very similar shades of reds/pinks contrasted against a bright lime green, which is not even used consistently in the map (compare the green on the Olympic peninsula to the greens in the western part of the state). Could you clean this up a little? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.175.100.66 (talk) 22:28, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 23:38, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] United States presidential election, 2008

Hello Bigvinu. I've reverted you changes to the 'Dems delegate count' template. Please discuss you changes at the article discussion page, before implementing such a change. PS- Having the Democratic template one way & the Republican template the other? isn't acceptable. GoodDay (talk) 18:43, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:John Edwards launches 2004 run.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:John Edwards launches 2004 run.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:31, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
