Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- If you haven't already, please add your name to the new user log to let others know a little about yourself.
- Read the article describing how to edit a page and feel free to experiment in the Sandbox.
- When editing pages, use the preview button before submitting and try to fill in the summary box for every edit.
- Eventually, read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- If you need help, post a question in the Newcomers' Village Pump or ask me on my talk page.
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
Jrdioko
P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).

I saw you requested southern hospitality. Might I direct you to Wikipedia:U.S. Southern wikipedians' notice board, as well? Mike H 20:18, Oct 8, 2004 (UTC)
- Hey, cool. I was about to ask if you have anything better to do than monitor the new articles page for updates, but looking at your user page... Bigpeteb 20:29, 8 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Urusei Yatsura
The UY anime is called "Urusei Yatsura" in the USA but the USA manga releases were called "Lum". WhisperToMe 16:18, 31 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Insidious Big Brother Database
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Insidious Big Brother Database, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Insidious Big Brother Database. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. (The proposed deletion notation of this is not connected to my username. The IBBD application does not appear to be notable and does not assert such). StoptheDatabaseState 17:41, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- As a general rule, software is notable once it has been written about independently (outside of Wikipedia and its own website and promotion). The full details are at WP:SOFTWARE. If you can show that it passes this 'notability test', then it will probably get through an Articles for Deletion (WP:AFD) process. StoptheDatabaseState 18:47, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Hello,
Thank you for your stub submission. You may wish to note that it is preferable to use a stub template from Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types instead of using simply {{stub}}, if you can.
Thanks! --Vox Causa 22:38, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for tidying up after me. Your changes are quite an (appreciated) improvement. Best regards, Jim_Lockhart 04:14, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
