The following is a compilation of weekly highlights from Big Brother Australia 2007.

Week 1 Major Events
  • Big Brother 2007 launches with a live opening night that is broadcast around Australia. 12 Housemates have entered the house, with another two entering Monday 23 April.
  • As a result of the SMS voting poll for two new housemates, both Zoran and Susannah enter the House.
  • Billy (also known as "Mr. X") enters the house.
  • Emma wins the first edition of Friday Night Live Gladiator theme, and takes Aleisha into the Rewards Room.
  • Hayley and Andrew's relationship is revealed.
  • Mr. X, aka Billy is revealed to the house as Hayley's ex-boyfriend.
Group Task
  • Getting To Know You - Each housemate was separately given the task of trying to uncover Hayley and Andrew's secret relationship. However, each of the housemates thought that they are the only one who has been given the task.
Evictions
  • On Day 8, Cruz left the White Room after pressing the red button. He received $AU750 cash and a New Zealand holiday.
Week 2 Major Events
  • On Day 9, BB took away all food from the house and only allowed gruel to be eaten due to breach of house rules until further notice.[1]
  • At the start of Day 10, Bodie was made a "non-housemate" by Big Brother for breaking the nomination rules.[2] He was not allowed to communicate with any other housemates until Big Brother said so. By 4:22pm on Day 10, Big Brother reinstated Bodie as a "housemate" and be able to speak. [3]
  • Day 11, Demet had entered the Big Brother house after White Room housemates performed challenges on who would go into the Big Brother House.
  • Hayley wins a Japanese Game Show-themed Friday Night Live.
Group Task
  • Newborn Task - Housemates are to look after "pretend babies" with another housemate referred to as a partner. The task was cancelled due to Kate being traumatised by its nature.[4]
  • Fish Out of Water Task - Two housemates must keep watch over a well and catch the fish when they jump out, kiss them and return them to the well.[5]
Nominations
  • After all the housemates nominated, Kate was on 11 points, Bodie was on 6 points and Emma was on 5 points. As winner of the Friday Night Games, Emma was given the ability (the nomination twist) to take someone off the table and put someone back to replace. She chose to save herself and put Jamie (who was on 4 points) back in her place. The official nominees for this week are Kate, Bodie and Jamie.
Evictions
  • On Day 15, Kate was evicted by public voting.
Week 3 Major Events
  • Day 16: Weekly Task is announced by Big Brother. The theme is "Fairytale Island". Big Brother also granted Billy the position as a legitimate housemate.[6]
  • Day 18: Housemates are showering too long so Big Brother cuts the hot water time from 15 minutes to 7.5 minutes[7]. A new housemate, Nick, has entered the house from the Starburst Golden Key promotion.
  • Andrew wins a Bling Bling-themed Friday Night Live.
Group Task
  • Fairytale Island - Housemates must perform a line from a fairytale as instructed by Big Brother, in a pantomime fashion. Each day they will perform one line with oomph and strength. HMs will have time to practice each day.

  • On Day 22, a double eviction was held; TJ and Bodie were evicted by public voting.
Week 4 Major Events
  • On Day 25, the housemates got 1 hour extra sleep for passing the "counting sheep" mini task.[8]
  • Demet wins an On the Beach-themed Friday Night Live.
Group Task
  • For the week till Friday, HMs only had 21 hours to sleep. If one housemate had their eyes closed for more than 30 seconds at any time, the clock would start counting down towards sleep for all the HMs. If there was time left on the clock at the end of the week, $50,000 will be added to the prize pool. If the HMs went over the allocated 21 hours, cash would be deducted from their winnings so far.[9] On Day 27, the HMs had passed the sleep task, but lost $35,000 for missing the snooze button seven times.[10]

Week 5 Major Events
Group Task
  • New Year's Resolutions - Each housemate received an individual "New Year's Resolution" for the week. In addition, when the housemates heard fireworks they had to reach the podium in the garden within Big Brother's 10 second countdown.

  • On Day 30, Big Brother asked Hayley and Andrew which one of them was going to be evicted. On Day 31, Hayley was evicted from the house. On Day 36, Nick was evicted by public voting.
Week 6 Major Events
  • On Day 37, all the staples and food were taken away from the housemates and replaced with Indian staples to coincide with their group task.[12]
  • On Day 42, housemates put on their Bollywood performance, and Big Brother announced that while the performance was a success, there was a total of 33 rule breaches throughout the week and therefore they failed the task and no money was added to the prize pool.
  • Billy wins an Outback Adventure-themed Friday Night Live.
Group Task
  • Indian Theme - On Day 37, it was revealed that the HMs this week will eat, sleep and breathe India and their task will culminate in their very own Bollywood performance.[13][14] HMs must rehearse for one hour a day on the spa deck. Jamie was nominated as the director of the Bollywood performance.[15]
Nominations
  • The original nominees were Zoran, Rebecca and Jamie. As winner of Friday Night Live, Andrew removed Zoran from the nomination lineup and nominated Susannah.
Evictions
  • On Day 43, Susannah was evicted by public voting.
Week 7 Major Events
  • Andrew wins a Jungle-themed Friday Night Live.
  • On Day 50, two Intruders, Michelle and Zach, entered the BB House in a 90-minute special double eviction-double intrusion.
Group Task
  • The Great Outdoors - Housemates must camp outside for the week on stretcher beds, as well as completing two sub-tasks.
    • The Ice Cave - Six "Icemates" were chosen (Andrew, Rebecca, Thomas, Travis, Billy and Jamie) to supposedly chip ice cubes from a room of ice, when in fact they were enjoying luxury foods and an airhockey table. This was unknown to the other housemates until Big Brother showed them on one of the outdoor TV screens and told them they would be rewarded if they kept their knowledge a secret.
    • Water Conservation - Housemates had to transfer running water from one barrel to another when in turned on periodically. By the end of the week, they had to collect a certain amount of water to pass the task.
Nominations
  • This week nominations were to be based solely on which housemate posed the biggest threat to winning the game; houemates could only nominate their chief competitors.
  • Intruders Daniela and Laura were allowed to nominate and be nominated for the first time.
  • At least five housemates would be nominated, but seven were up for eviction due to ties. Travis, Andrew, Jamie, Daniela, Thomas, Emma, and Aleisha were nominated. Billy used his FNL twist to switch Aleisha with Rebecca.
Evictions
  • On Day 50, Emma was evicted by public voting.
  • On Day 50, Rebecca was also evicted by public voting.
Week 8 Major Events
  • On Day 52, the housemates received a phone call from Big Brother saying he had left the house until further notice and all rules were postponed.
  • Thomas was elected House Leader and Billy was elected Rule Enforcer.
  • Jamie wins a Mexican-themed Friday Night Live.
Group Task
  • Big Brother departed the house for the week and it was the housemates' weekly task to run the house themselves with their own set of rules, a House Leader and a Rule Enforcer.
Nominations
  • Big Brother reinforced that nominations this week could only be based on personality, flying under the radar and strategy.
  • The nominees were Laura, Daniela and Andrew. Andrew used his FNL twist to save himself and nominate Joel.
Evictions
  • On Day 57, Laura was evicted by public voting.
Week 9 Major Events
Group Task
  • Police Academy themed. The housemates had to take turns in a set up police car at 'patrolling'. Also, the housemates hadto complete daily workout programs and, throughout the week had to improve their previous times.
Nominations
  • Big Brother announced that this week only male housemates could be nominated since the male-female ratio was an unbalanced 8:3.
  • The nominees were Billy, Andrew, Jamie and Thomas. Jamie used his FNL twist to save himself and nominate Joel.
Evictions
  • On Day 64, a Double Eviction was held, Andrew and Thomas also was evicted by public voting.
Week 10 Major Events
Group Task
  • Housemates had to draw a card each from a set of numbered boxes each card with its own fate.
Nominations

Evictions
  • On Day 71, a single eviction was held, Jamie was evicted by public voting.
Week 11 Major Events
Group Task
  • Big Brother News. Housemates had to step up to the role of news anchor and present a news programme about Big Brother. The task required housemates to arrive at the news desk in time for going to air and anchors had to avoid saying words such as 'umm' and 'err'. Housemates also had to come up with unique opening and closing lines.
  • Mini Task: Big Brother demanded that the housemates carry a large ball painted to look like the earth above their heads for a period of time. Daniella questioned whether there was any reward for the task, however later in the day Big Brother announced that there was no physical reward. This mini task took place as a promotion of Live Earth.

Evictions
  • On Day 78, Michelle was evicted by public voting with 73% of the merged vote. Before the votes merged she had 92% of the evict votes, the highest in the history of the Australian series.
Week 12 Major Events
  • Kyle Sandilands entered the house on Saturday as a celebrity intruder. His initial role was to judge the housemate's music video.
Group Task
  • Music Video. Housemates had to create a music video to the track 'Superstar Crash' and lipsync to the lyrics. Travis was the camera operator, Zach was the choreographer and Billy was the star. Billy had to disagree with Zach as much as possible, pick on other dancers, and say the line "its not about you its all about me" Kyle gave the housemates 50c for their awful music video, however Big Brother rounded it up to $1. The total prize money added to the kitty stood at $10,001 as a result of Billy's star mission being a success.
Nominations
  • Australia chose four housemates to nominate this week. Housemates still went through the nomination process, however Big Brother did not count them. For this reason, housemates were permitted to nominate for any petty reasons they could come up with.
Evictions
  • Daniela was evicted by voting of the remaining housemates.
Week 13 Major Events
  • Joel celebrated his 25th birthday in the house with a special video message from his family.
Group Task
  • Spider Time. Big Brother woke the housemates up early and told them that their time on Big Brother was coming to an end and coming out into the real world would mean facing fears. Big Brother then told the housemates that this week the housemates would be confronting one of those fears, spiders. Housemates must induvisually go into what's called a 'spider den' and collect spiders for money and privelleges such as the gym and pool, laundry services and hot water.
Nominations
  • The six remaining housemates nominated for the final time. Travis, Joel, Billy and Zoran were the original nominees. Billy then used his power to nominate Zach instead of himself. The nominees are Travis, Joel, Zach and Zoran
Evictions
  • On Day 92, Joel and Zoran were evicted by public voting in a double eviction.
Week 14 Major Events
Group Task
Nominations
  • No nominations were held this week, as Big Brother told the housemates that last week was their final chance to nominate housemates for eviction. The remaining four housemates Aleisha, Billy, Travis and Zach will all be put up for eviction by Big Brother.'
Evictions
  • On Day 99, Billy and Travis were evicted in a double eviction.
Day 100 Major Events
  • On Day 100, Aleisha was announced the winner of Big Brother 2007. The announcement was made on stage at the Big Brother amphitheatre after a telephone system meltdown threw original finale plans out the window.

Zach was runner up, losing by a reported 65 votes. Continued support for Zach has continued since he left the house with the establishment of the Team Zach forum
