The Big-headed Amazon River Turtle or Big-headed Sideneck (Peltocephalus dumeriliana) is a species of turtle in the Pelomedusidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Peltocephalus. It is found in Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Venezuela, possibly Ecuador, and possibly Peru.
