Bidding function

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The bidding function is a term used in the analysis of auctions. The function is used to find out how much a buyer at the auction should bid for an item. It is usually denoted b() or more commonly b(v), where v is the value of the buyer.

The term is also used for programs performing automated bidding on online-auctions like E-Bay.[1]
