Mankind settles in Shinar. Here, they attempt to build a city and a tower whose top might reach unto Heaven. To prevent this project from succeeding, God confuses their languages so that each spoke a different language. Abram, a Shemite living in Ur, takes Sarai as his wife, and they have no children.
