Bholahat is located at 24.9389° N 88.2028° E . It has 12993 units of house hold and total area 123.52 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Bholahat has a population of 70507. Males constitute are 49.64% of the population, and females 50.36%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 34281. Bholahat has an average literacy rate of 26.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
