Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, a joint venture of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and NPOL, Ministry of Defence, is a senior secondary school affiliated to the Central Board Of Seconday Education. The school is situated at Thrikkakara, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city of Kochi.

The school was started in the year 1992 to cater to the educational requirements of the children of NPOL employees. The school started with 114 students and 10 staff. The school functions under the purview of the Kochi Kendra of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

From a promising beginning, the school has progressed to become an educational institution par excellence. Today, the school boasts over 1000 students from classes one to twelve who are being educated by a teaching staff of over 70. Apart from curricular activities, students here are offered training in arts, sports and music. motto :"Let noble thoughts come to us from everyside"
