[edit] Misandry
The Misandry article may be going through another unstable period. Ghostmonkey57 (talk · contribs) and IronAngelAlice (talk · contribs) seem like warriors ready to undo anything they don't like, with little attention to discussion. Anything that encourages them to participate in WP:CONSENSUS-based editing would be helpful. Projected improvements to the article might be better scratched out in Userspace, at least until the revert warring dies down or someone gets banned.
Incidentally, by "conservative" I don't mean self-identifying as a Bush supporter and cheerleading the war in Iraq. I'm basicly talking about social conservatives — antifeminists, religious types, gender conservatives, and the likes of Paglia (not mentioned in the article) and McElroy whose work lends itself to discussion by conservatives without being embraced by the tribes these writers identify with ("center-left", feminist, anarchist, and so forth). If one told the average Salon reader McElroy was a VRWC plant feigning anarchist/feminist sympathies to get published, it would sound plausible.
I notice you edit a narrow range of articles. Do you edit under any other IDs? If you have a privacy concern and are complying with WP:SOCK I don't need to know which, but thought I'd ask. / edg ☺ ☭ 19:26, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
And as Cailil points out, McElroy certainly lends her writing to conservative, even right-wing causes. Get a look at these: http://www.intellectualconservative.com/author/wendy-mcelroy/ / edg ☺ ☭ 19:37, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Staying signed in
Sometimes it helps to check "Remember me" when you log in. If privacy on that computer is a concern, you can clear this later by logging in with that box unchecked, and then logging out again. / edg ☺ ☭ 23:36, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
