[edit] Praise for Betsy's Page
- Betsy's page is one of my favorite blogs; and has been for over a year. I try to visit at least twoce a day. She does a great job on the blog; always some thought provoking links and discussion.

- I agree it is one of the best if not the best.

[edit] Comment on Kerry Correction
Interesting that neither John Kerry's allusion nor Betsy Newmark's correction noted that Daniel Webster's speech of March 7, 1850, which included the introductory remark, "I wish to speak today, not as a Massachusetts man, nor as a Northern man, but as an American...", was made to support a "compromise" which strengthened the institution of slavery and led to Webster's abrupt resignation from the Senate. [edit] Article Name
If this survives VfD, I plan on redirecting this article to Betsy Newmark because her awards for innovation in teaching and her participation in fora outside of (though because of) her blog are also of note. Feel free to go ahead and comment on the proposed move here. Dystopos 02:14, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
While Newmark is apparently best known (via her blog) as Betsy, according to her teaching page, her name is Elizabeth Ellen Newmark. Seems this should be reflected in the article. Also, should the title of the article be changed? - 10 Aug 2005 (—Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.198.234.126 (talk • contribs) )
[edit] Praise for Mrs. Newmarks America At War Class
No class has inspired me so much to fully explore my rights as a citizen as much as Mrs. Newmarks America At War class. She is easily one of the best teachers I have ever had the fortune of studying under. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 63.239.234.170 (talk • contribs) .
