Betty Heathfield

Betty Heathfield (March 30, 1927, Chesterfield;February 16, 2006) was a leading figure in the miners' wives groups during the UK miners' strike (1984-1985).
She was married to Peter Heathfield, secretary of the National Union of Mineworkers at the time, but they later divorced.
