Betty Blowtorch
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Betty Blowtorch was an all-female hard rock band from southern California. The band was formed in 1998 by three members of Butt Trumpet.[1] After releasing the 2001 full-length Are You Man Enough?, the group toured with Nashville Pussy.[2] During the tour, drummer Judy Molish and guitarist Sharon Needles left the group; Jennifer Finch from L7 joined in their stead. In December 2001, lead singer and bassist Bianca Butthole was killed in a car crash in New Orleans, which marked the end of the group.[2] A collection of rarities and live performances was released as Last Call in 2003.
They are the focus of Anthony Scarpa's documentary film Betty Blowtorch And Her Amazing True Life Adventures.
