"Better as a Memory" is a single by American country music singer Kenny Chesney. It is the fourth single released from his 2007 CD Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates. A ballad in which the narrator states to his lover, "I'm better as a memory than as your man", the song was co-written by Scooter Carusoe, who also wrote "Anything But Mine", a Number One single from Chesney's album When the Sun Goes Down.
