Beth Chayim Chadashim, also called BCC, is a Jewish synagogue in Los Angeles, California and affiliated with Reform Judaism. Founded in 1972 as the world's first Lesbian and Gay synagogue, BCC continues to be a community for queer and progressive Jews, allies and friends.. Beth Chayim Chadashim means "House of New Life." Today, BCC is an inclusive community of progressive lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and heterosexual individuals, families and friends, with programs for all ages. The congregation is headed by Rabbi Lisa A. Edwards, Ph.D. and Cantorial Soloist Fran Chalin.
