Beta Eridani (β Eri / β Eridani) is a star in the constellation Eridanus. It also has the traditional names Cursa or Dhalim.

It is located in the northeast end of Eridanus.

Beta Eridani has an apparent magnitude of +2.79 and its spectral type is A3III. The star is 90 light years from Earth.

Beta Eridani may be a member of the proposed Sirius Supercluster, along with other scattered stars such as Sirius itself, Beta Aurigae, Alpha Coronae Borealis, Beta Crateris, and Beta Serpentis.[1]
