[edit] Merge proposal

This section is to discuss the merge of The Curse (song) to Bestial Devastation. Cagey Millipede (talk) 21:17, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

  • Support merge. The The Curse (song) is just a stub anyway, and unlikely to be made more substantial in the near term. CM (talk) 22:10, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Support merge. This is stub & is barely accurate. The song was sung by Max Cavalera, not some friend of the band. Max barely knew any English at the time & that is why the song sounds choppy, because he wrote the lyrics from a Portuguese to English Dictionary. My source for this info is from the Morbid Visions/Bestial Devastation cd booklet.--Hndsmepete (talk) 00:03, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Strong support for the merge. I have already removed the 'fans find it amusing' bit as unencyclopedic. The bit about Venom records is relevant to the article about the EP, but not the song itself. However the above poster is incorrect that Max performs "The Curse"... from the booklet you refer to: [quoting Igor Cavalera] ""One thing I remember is that we had one of our friends come and do the voice for the intro ('The Curse') because he would do that voice without effects--he was kind of burping in a way. It was funny, so we had him come down and do it in the studio. I don't even remember his name!"" Blackmetalbaz (talk) 17:27, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Alternative Quote

"Sepultura presented records by Slayer, Hellhammer and Venom as a reference point to J.G.'s engineers. They were flabbergasted by the crude quality of these albums, and told to the band they sounded like crap" (Barcisnki & Gomes, page 31).
