Bessingby is a village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 1½ miles south west of the town of Bridlington. It lies to the east the A614 road. Tucked away to the left of the churchyard as you enter is a wooden bench - the only memorial bench on the site. This was placed in memory of ex-Bridlington woman Lynn Maureen Jervis, who was married to John Metcalfe at St Magnus's Church in 1984 and whose daughter, Camille, was christened there. Lynn Maureen Metcalfe died from cancer in July 1987 aged 23 and is buried in Stratford Upon Avon.
Bessingby forms part of the civil parish of Bridlington.
