This is based on a translation of the French wikipedia article. Not sure what went on at the siege of Fuenterrabia, perhaps someone can fill it in. Bookgrrl 02:11, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Guillaume de Nogaret

You might want to link the two relations, as Guillaume de Nogaret was the main persecutor of the Templars under Philip IV the Fair. Obviously, though, any relationship would be distant, but he might be a descendent. V. Joe 02:52, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

I'd like to find some kind of family history or genealogy of the de Nogaret/de La Valette/de Foix families because they seem to be fairly significant second-tier players in French history who pop up at most of the major moments. I'll keep looking and if I can find a connection I'll add it in. Meanwhile I'll put Guillaume in under "See Also" with any other family members I can find. Thanks!! Bookgrrl 12:13, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
