Talk:Bernabe Gonzalez Garcia

Re: the speedy delete tag, I don't see any indication that the pastor is encyclopedic noteworthy. Being a pastor alone doesnt make you notable for inclusion in an encyclopedia, and I see very little evidence that the group he is president of The Voice of Restoration...is notable. If so, please provide evidence. Caper13 07:21, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- re: the speedy delete tag, perfectly understandable. Actually the group of Voice of Restoration is part of his ongoing ministry of over 55 years. Over which time he has traveled to every country of the western hemisphere and assisted in the direct founding or assistance of over 200 churches or missions. During those 55 years he has furthered the teaching of William Branham. He is very much a exponent of what is labeled "Branhamism." Just need a little more time to input more info...kind late. cheers

- I would suggest you include a paragraph or two on the Voice of Restoration and why it is notable (preferably with verifiable sources). If the pastor is president of a notable group, and has been leading it for 50 years, that may make him notable as well especially if he has beein instrumental in its successes (assuming there are some). I won't be deleting the article, and since you put the hangon tag on the article, an administrator should look at the talk page before acting on the tag. That should give you time to add the sections to the article that you feel show his notability. AFter you do add the sections, mention it here in a statement in the talk page so an administrator can see that you have expanded the article to try to show the notability. Good luck. Ok, I added a page for the Voice of Restoration. I'm finding it difficult to find independent and verifiable evidence as to Bernie Garcia, Phoenix Tabernacle, and Voice of Restoration.
I actually started these entries to add more "back" info into the entry William Branham impact on various ministries. While i have yet to go back and discuss the Branham entries with other users I would like to do so but felt that I should share what I know about it. As for Bernie Garcia he's been instrumental in the spreading the teachings and doctrines of William Branham in Latin America much to the the point of that he is considered controversial and often heretical in his beliefs by other "Believers." I only wish to add these entries again to expound on the effects of William Branham ministry and how its largely underestimated as far a reach and number of followers.

[edit] I removed the speedy tag
I removed the speedy delete tag because I think your guy could be notable (though I'm not sure it has been proven yet) and I want to give you time to document that notability without an artificial deadline hanging over your head. Be aware though that someone else could come along and tag the article the same way, so I wouldn't waste time in building it out and showing notability to him and the organization. Also, if this guy was controversial add that in too. Don't make the article like a fan piece. That will raise suspicions. Controversial people are seldom non-notable. If it looks like a balanced and neutral article it is more likely to be taken at face value than if it looks like a follower of his wrote it. Best of luck. Caper13 08:33, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
