Berom is the name of a Nigerian ethnic group and the language spoken by the Berom people.

The Berom people are the major ethnic group in the Jos Plateau, and are predominantly located in Plateau State, Nigeria. Within Plateau State, they are concentrated mostly in the local government areas of Jos North, Jos South, Barkin Ladi, and Riyom[1].
The Berom people have a rich cultural heritage. They celebrate the Nzem Berom festival annually in March or April.
The current governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, is a Berom.
