Bernie Parrish (born April 29, 1936 in Long Beach, California) was an American football defensive back who played with the National Football League's Cleveland Browns from 1959 to 1966. He also played for the Houston Oilers of the American Football League. Parrish was drafted by the Browns in the 1958 NFL Draft out of Florida.
In 1971, Parrish wrote a book, "They Call It A Game" [1], about the economics and politics of the NFL. It was a bestseller.
In 2007, Parrish, along with other retired players, sued the NFL [2] over Players retirement benefits.
