Bernhard Bardenheuer (July 12, 1839 - August 13, 1913) was a German surgeon who was born near Düren, Germany. In 1864 he received his doctorate from Berlin, where he studied under Bernhard von Langenbeck (1810-1887). Afterwards he practiced surgery in Heidelberg and Köln.
Bardenheuer specialized in genitourinary surgery, and in 1887 performed the first complete cystectomy. This operation involved a patient who was suffering from an advanced bladder tumour which affected both ureters. He is also credited with being the first surgeon to perform an autogenous bone graft of the mandible. The Bardenheuer incision is named after him, which is used for operative treatment of mastitis.
