Berbera Airport is an airport in Berbera, Somalia (IATA: BBO, ICAO: HCMI). The airport has a 4,140m (13,582ft) runway, one of the longest in Africa.[1]. This runway was built by the Soviet Union (USSR) when Somalia was it's ally inorder to counter the United States military presence in the region.[2]
