Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Ben Kweller appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. NeilN talk ♦ contribs 04:49, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. NeilN talk ♦ contribs 04:49, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] User Name Issue
Hello Benkweller. Your selected user name appears to be the name of a well-known living person. Per our username policy you may only use such a name if it really is your name. Since you have edited on Ben Kweller, it may appear that you are impersonating the musician of that same name. If you are the Ben Kweller named in that article you may continue to use it as your user name but must follow the procedure listed in the link on the policy page, otherwise you must request that your name be changed. You can do so at this page.
Please note that if you continue to edit under this username without following the procedure mentioned above, your account may be blocked from further editing until the issue is resolved. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. Shereth 14:07, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
