[edit] Divine Praises?
The Divine Praises are not part of the rite of Benediction. Their use is simply a common custom, and their position varies from place to place. Quite often they are recited after the act of benedivction, but they are just as often recited before the Tantum ergo as a conclusion to the adoration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fiddleback (talk • contribs) 14:49, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- They may or may not be an essential part of the rite (neither, I understand, is the O Salutaris) but they are, in my experience, a universal one - and always said after the Benediction. Carolynparrishfan (talk) 15:03, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
