I'm a bit skeptical of the claim that Vilakazi is "the first African" to hit a Ph.D. Does African here include British, French, Italians born overseas? Does it include Boers and Moroccans? Or do we mean the first black African? This might be a good one to dig into further. I'll try to hit this article myself next week. Dvyost 07:54, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
