Bennettazhia ('Bennett's azhdarchid') is the name given to a pterosaur (flying reptile) formerly known as Pteranodon oregonensis (Gilmore, 1928). A section of dorsal vertebrae was unearthed from the Lower Cretaceous beds of Wheeler County, Oregon, USA. The animal was probably similar to Nyctosaurus in shape and build, though larger. Nessov (1991) transferred it from the Pteranodontidae to the Azhdarchidae. Bennett (1994), after whom the pterosaur is named, considers that it belongs to the Dsungeripteridae. Wellnhofer (1991), Peters (1997), Kellner (2003) and Unwin (2003) leave it as a belonging to the Pterodactyloidea incertae sedis.
