Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium

Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It currently holds 60,000 people. The stadium opened in 2007. The structure cost TZS 56.4bn/-. It was constructed by the Beijing Construction Engineering Company Limited. Tanzania contributed TZS 25bn/- and China donated the rest. The Complex is according to the FIFA and Olympic Standards. It replaced the William Mkapa Stadium as the national stadium.
