[edit] Career
Pac began his career at the IWF promotion based in Gateshead, North East England. His athleticism impressed promoters all over the world, eventually yielding him regular bookings.
In January 2007, Pac wrestled as part of the Impacto Total tour in Portugal. While not a product of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, many TNA wrestlers appeared on the bill. Pac was featured both nights, along with other notable British wrestlers Spud, Jonny Storm and Jody Fleisch.[1]
He wrestled for Ring of Honor at their March 3 and 4 shows at the Liverpool Olympia in Liverpool, England. On the first night, he lost to Roderick Strong in a match for the FIP World Heavyweight Championship. On the second he was defeated by Matt Sydal.[2] He then wrestled for Philadelphia-based promotion Chikara, at their April 22 show Rey De Voladores, in a 4-way elimination match against Chuck Taylor, Ricochet and Retail Dragon, which was won by Taylor.
In late April, Pac represented IPW:UK in the prestigious King of Europe Cup. He defeated Trent Acid in the first round, before falling to Nigel McGuinness in the quarter finals.[3] On May 20 he won the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament with Roderick Strong to become the new PWG World Tag Team Champions. They defeated Super Dragon & Davey Richards in the 1st Round, Dragon Gate Stars Naruki Doi & Masato Yoshino in the 2nd and then the Briscoe Brothers in the finals. They defended the title against The Havana Pitbulls (Ricky Reyes & Rocky Romero) at PWG's Roger Dorn Night on June 10. Through July 15 to July 22 he competed for Dragon Gate's biggest tour of the year, Wrestle JAM, where he represented Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, along with El Generico and Ring Of Honor representatives Austin Aries, Delirious, Jack Evans, Matt Sydal & Jimmy Rave.
On July 29, he and Strong were scheduled to defend their PWG World Tag Team Championship against the Briscoe Brothers in a 2 out of 3 falls match. However, they were replaced by Kevin Steen & El Generico who ended up winning PWG World Tag Team Championships in a one fall bout. In August, Pac returned to Chikara, at the International Invaders weekend. At Stage 1, he was defeated by Ricochet; the next night he was pinned by Claudio Castagnoli. On August 23 he participated at the 8th Ballpark Brawl. He lost a six-way elimination match that featured Sterling James Keenan (the eventual winner), Trent Acid, El Generico, Xtremo and John McChesney. The day later, he returned to ROH in a losing effort against "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. At ROH Manhattan Mayhem, he lost to Davey Richards.
Pac was among the 24 participants in the 2007 PWG Battle of Los Angeles Tournament in Burbank, California that ran from August 31 to September 2. He defeated Jack Evans the first round match then Claudio Castagnoli in a Second Round match before losing to eventual tournament winner CIMA in a Semi-Final Round Match. Shortly thereafter, Pac was invited back to Dragon Gate for their Dragon Storm 2007 tour beginning September 8. The tour was the last for WWE-bound Matt Sydal, who on September 14 endorsed Pac to be his replacement on the Dragon Gate super team Typhoon. On September 15, Pac defeated Dragon Kid for the wXw Lightweight Championship.
After almost a year-long absence from the company, PAC will be making PWG his return at the 2008 Battle of Los Angeles tournament.
