Bemidji Woolen Mills, is a leading store and manufacturer of clothing and other items geared toward the outdoor living of the extreme north. In addition to their own products, they carry hundreds of items from over 35 manufacturuers. It is located in Bemidji, Minnesota.

History

Created in 1920 by first generation father and son, Ira P. Batchelder and Ira H. Batchelder, they set out to produce the highest quality authentic outdoor woolen apparel for the logging industry. The original target area was Northern Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin. Though there have been many changes over the years, the need for our traditional woolen apparel remains in high demand with today's outdoor enthusiast.

During the 1940's, many discovered the northern Minnesota for it's wonderful wilderness and hundreds of lakes, offering peace and quiet. Bemidji Woolen Mills was also discovered and our trustworthy woolen garments won a special place in the wardrobe of those original visitors. The authentic trademark was born and has become very well known.

Today

After almost 90 years in business, Bemidji Woolen Mills continues to manufacture essential woolen apparel for the outdoor industry. Their highly skilled seamstresses take pride in their dedication to their perfection. In addition to the huge store in downtown Bemidji, their large sewing and manufacturing facility is also located in Bemidji. Both locations are visited by locals and the thousands of visitors and tourists during the year.
