P.S. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything or simply wish to say hello. Oh, and you may be interested in taking a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Harry Potter. :)
Beware the Dark One
Hermoine should not be hanging around here, but a friendly word of advice; keep an eye out for He Who Must Not Be Named, or he'll have his Death Eaters spy on you.
On a more formal note, welcome to Wikipedia! ^_^ --MasTer of Puppets 02:04, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
Everything's voluntary
You asked on the HP Wikiproject if there was anything you had to do if you joined. The answer is no. You could ask for someone to give you a Harry Potter task to complete (like maybe expand an article, or check the spelling in another article), or you can just follow the discussion and pitch in where you feel comfortable. Welcome to Wikipedia, and I hope you stick around. I see you have already been told about me. ;-) Don't worry, I am not all bad. Cheers. --LV (Dark Mark) 00:34, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
Another Question
Have you ANY idea about what the death eater trcking thing is? IamHermionieIamHermionieIamHermionie 15:24, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- No, Master of Puppets is not my enemy. In fact I have barely interacted with him. Which "Death Eater tracking thing" ar you talking about? The little list on my user page? It's just for fun. I try to keep a list of the good HP characters. I don't really watch them or anything, it is all a joke. See ya. --LV (Dark Mark) 15:42, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
Better image for Luna Lovegood?
Hi, here you indicated that you had a better image for Luna Lovegood. Could you tell me where it is, then I can provide more help. :-) --Deathphoenix 17:16, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
The link to the page is,Here, farther down the picture is labeled c10-luna-lovegood. That is the picture. if you think its too blurry or something please tell me because the other picture might be better. There are some pretty good pictures on the page, if you see any others, feel free to take a look at them. Thanks an advance, IamHermionie 19:34, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for your response and putting it on my talk page (my apologies, I rarely check other people's talk pages for a respose). The problem with the c10-luna-lovegood images are that they are copyrighted. Those images are hosted on the HP Lexicon website (English and French sites, it looks like), and that site definitely has copyrights, and as I recall, has never granted Wikipedia the rights to use its images. We try to use images that are either without any copyright restrictions, or qualify for fair use (though we try to avoid those as well). Thanks for your efforts on the Harry Potter pages, though! Your work is definitely appreciated. --Deathphoenix 18:20, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, I tried http://www.mugglenet.com/chapterpictures-ootp.shtml and it doesn't work. --Deathphoenix ʕ 15:37, 30 May 2006 (UTC) Alright. I'll work on it. IamHermionie 18:48, 11 March 2006 (UTC) Okay, if you get an email permission from either of those two websites, let me know and I'll help you get these images uploaded. --Deathphoenix ʕ 14:19, 9 March 2006 (UTC) I've almost got the people tracked, I just need a little while longer. Thanks IamHermionie 22:27, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Hi IamHermionie, the link you gave me doesn't look right. Could you look for the image again and give me the URL? Thanks, Deathphoenix ʕ 04:31, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Sandy123?
Hi, I just joined the welcoming commite and was wondering, is there a certain place where you find the user names of new people? Or do you just look on the newbie talk page? Also, is there a general greeting you must have to greet someone? Thanks, IamHermionie 14:40, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well, there are several ways of finding newcomers:
- Go through the recent changes and look for constructive contributors with red talk page links.
- Check the new user log for new users who haven't yet been welcomed.
- Greet those who appear in the user creation log.
- As for the welcome message itself, simply type
{{subst:welcome}} --~~~~on the appropriate talk pages. Regards, Sango123 (e) 20:05, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- P.S. I'm Sango, not Sandy. :)
Thanks and I'm real sorry about the name. I was in a rush when I wrote it. IamHermionie
Welcome pages with random titles
You appear to have created a number of new pages with random titles and contents that look like "Welcome" ... but have nothing to do with the title. Why? Paul 19:55, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Where are these mysterious welcomes? IamHermionie 20:26, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- I've just deleted one at De Rham curve. It looks like a welcome message but it was in the encyclopaedia main space.--File Éireann 20:31, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Encyclopedia main Space? Wats that? gotta go. IamHermionie 20:33, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Eireann means that the welcomes were in normal article space, not user/talk pages. -MasTer of Puppets Peek! 21:23, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Super sorry. I understand now. Lesson learned. I'll be more careful. :( IamHermionie 23:41, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Don't feel guilty at all, I've seen much worse things. Yours isn't even a bad thing; it shows that you're willing to help in Wikipedia. So keep up the good work! ^_^ --MasTer of Puppets Peek! 00:21, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!!!!!!!! IamHermionie 19:16, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Curious
most of the random pages you've added welcome messages to, are the same pages that had been recently targeted by the wiki cheese vandal, except in that case [[Category:Wikicheese-ology]] was added, in this case, you're targeting the same pages, only with {{template:welcome}}--64.12.116.131 19:18, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Big Hello!
I just got your message! Hi! You should have a link to your Talk page from your User page so that it's easier to get here... (I should do the same) ;-) Bhludzin 20:52, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Re:Luna Lovegood Picture
Hey, thanks for the link. This might be a moot point because there are now film versions of Luna. I believe the sketch by Marie GrandPre is copyrighted by her, and would be inappropriate for inclusion. A snapshot from a film would probably qualify under fair use guidelines, but a copyrighted sketch would likely not. I took a quick glance through all the articles that I remembered having Marie GrandPre sketches in the past, and they all seem to have been removed. Thanks for your help, though, it's always good to know that we've got people contributing to Harry Potter articles. :-) --Deathphoenix ʕ 23:51, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
