[edit] Helicopters?

The article states that the airforce operates all "aircraft" of the Belarusian armed forces, so i would take it that theres no separate army aviation to operate any helicopters, yet theres no mention of any in this article, and also all in all the whole list of operated types seem to be quite incomplete and maybe in accurate, like they would be only operating 6 jet trainer aircraft yet have these relatively large numbers of fighter, strike and attack aircrafts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.248.159.240 (talk) 04:40, August 27, 2007 (UTC)

"Без военного городка Щучин не стал бы городом". Это выражение, которое и сегодня можно услышать в Щучине, отображает роль, которую Красная Армия отыграла в становлении современного города. В августе 1945 - феврале 1951 г. на Щучинском аэродроме дислоцировался 790-ый истребительный авиационный полк 129-и авиадивизии. В 1946 г. начались работы по расширению и модернизации армейского "объекта Щучин". С февраля 1954 г. начинается настоящая история щучинского аэродрома, официально - "авиабазы 65300". В 1954 - 1960 г. здесь дислоцировались 993-й и 998-й полки 157-й бомбардировочно-авиационной дивизии (БАД). В 1961 г. здесь появился 979-й Волковысский Краснознаменный ордена Суворова III степени истребительно-авиационный полк. В 1962 г. 979-й авиаполк вошел в состав 95-й истребительно-авиационной дивизии, которая имела три полка, дислоцированные в Щучине, Роси и Березе.
